Ever since I was a child, I've always had a fascination for plushies. Some people prefer calling them "stuffed animals" but I don't like this word because it makes me think of a real animal that's been taxidermized (I hope I wrote this right). I prefer the word plushie, or peluche as we call them in Italy, even though it's actually a French word. It's basically pronounced the same way, though.
So, combine a plushie collector with a hamster stuff collector in the same person and you understand I couldn't do without a hamster plushie! Meet Charlie:
Charlie was a Christmas present from my boyfriend, after seeing me sad for not having a real hamster. Even though the real hamster Johnny came into my life later, Charlie is still an important part of my family.
Charlie is also the only hamster I've ever bought, and will ever buy, from a pet shop. (Yes, I promote adoption, but that's another story)
He was produced by Trudi, the leading plushie manufacturer in Italy. What I like about Charlie is how he actually looks like a hamster, not a guinea pig like most supposedly "hamster plushies" do (still don't get how people can mix them up! I mean, they're totally different rodents!)
Anoher great feature of Charlie is his hamster-life-size-ness, which inspires many photosets of common hamster life facts. Great when your real hamster is un-photo-supportive:
Ok, I'm done talking about Charlie. Please post about your own hamster plushies!
